Psychoeducational Evaluations

Get clear answers and practical next steps.

It's hard to help your child when you don't know what's actually going on. Whether you're wondering about ADHD, a learning disability, Autism, or something you haven't quite put a name to yet, a psychoeducational evaluation is where the guessing stops.

This evaluation might be the right fit if:
Your child can't seem to get work done or stay focused
Reading, writing, or math feels like a constant battle despite effort
Your child struggles with changes in routine at home or school
Teachers are flagging concerns, or your child is falling behind in class
Social situations feel hard for your child, whether it's reading the room, joining in, or knowing what to say
A psychoeducational evaluation can provide clarity about:
ADHD
Autism
Dyslexia
Dysgraphia
Dyscalculia
Anxiety
Depression

We look at how your child thinks, learns, and navigates the world around them, so nothing gets missed. Where it's appropriate, we can provide a formal diagnosis, which can help provide access to support at school and beyond.

You'll walk away with a clear picture, practical next steps, and connections to the resources that make sense for your family.

College Accommodations Evaluations

Show what you’re truly capable of.

If you or your child has a learning disability or processing difference, high-stakes exams and college coursework can feel like being asked to prove what you know while playing by rules that weren't designed for you. The right accommodations don't give you an advantage. They give you a fair shot at showing what you actually know.

This evaluation is a good fit if you or your child:

Are preparing for exams like the GRE, MCAT, or LSAT, and need official accommodations to perform at your true level
Were diagnosed earlier, but need updated documentation for a college's disability services office
Are struggling academically in college and wonder if an undiagnosed learning disability is getting in the way of what you’re actually capable of

We complete a thorough evaluation of cognitive, academic, and processing abilities and provide all the documentation your college or testing organization requires. We'll also work directly with the disability support center to make the process as smooth as possible, so the focus can stay on what matters: letting your real abilities come through.

IQ Testing

Understanding your child's intellectual strengths.

IQ testing gives you a focused look at how your child thinks, processes information, and solves problems. It's not a measure of their worth or potential ceiling. It's a tool to better understand them.

This service is often a great fit when:

Your child is being considered for a gifted or advanced learning program that requires IQ scores
You want a clearer picture of their intellectual strengths and learning style
You're trying to understand the gap between what your child seems capable of and how they're performing

Our IQ assessments provide the documentation and scores needed for gifted program applications, along with meaningful insights about your child's thinking and learning.

Individual Counseling

A safe space to learn, grow, and feel better.

Sometimes kids and teens need a place that's just for them. A place where they can talk through what's hard, learn new ways to handle big feelings, and build confidence without pressure.

Our counselors work with children and teens who are navigating:

Anxiety or worry that gets in the way of school, friendships, or daily life
Stress that feels overwhelming or hard to manage
Difficulty with social situations or making and keeping friends
Difficulty with social situations or making and keeping friends
Low self-esteem or a pattern of being really hard on themselves

Counseling isn't about fixing your child. It's about giving them tools and perspective that will support them for years to come. When your child feels more grounded and confident, the whole family tends to feel it too.

Occupational Therapy Evaluations

When everyday tasks feel harder than they should.

If your child struggles with things that seem like they should come naturally, like holding a pencil, managing a backpack, tolerating certain textures, or getting through a school routine without falling apart, occupational therapy can help make sense of why.

You might be looking into an OT evaluation if your child:

Has difficulty writing or using a fork
Is sensitive to sounds, textures, clothing, or other sensory input
Struggles with everyday self-care tasks like dressing or eating
Has a hard time with social skills, like taking turns and playing with other children
Has received an IEP, and you're questioning whether their OT needs were fully assessed

We offer both private evaluations and Independent Educational Evaluations (IEEs) for OT-related services. You'll receive a thorough assessment of fine motor skills, sensory processing, functional independence, and school participation, along with practical recommendations you can use right away at home and school.

Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA)

The best support starts with understanding ‘why.’

If your child is having frequent meltdowns, shutting down, acting out, or struggling with behavior at home or school, it can feel exhausting and discouraging. The good news is that behavior always has a reason. An FBA helps you find it.

This assessment is a good fit when:

Your child's behavior is affecting their learning or relationships
School staff are recommending an FBA or behavior intervention plan
You feel like the strategies you've tried just aren't working
You want to understand your child's triggers before things escalate further
The school has completed an FBA, and you're not sure it was thorough enough

Our FBAs are completed by a Licensed BCBA and examine the root causes and patterns behind your child's behavior. You'll receive individualized strategies designed for your child's specific needs, along with guidance for both home and school.

Speech & Language Evaluations

Communication is at the heart of everything.

Communication shapes everything, from how your child connects with friends to how they perform in the classroom. If something feels off in how your child speaks, understands language, or expresses themselves, a speech and language evaluation can help you figure out what's going on and what to do about it.

This evaluation might be a good fit if your child:

Is hard to understand or speaks significantly differently than peers their age
Struggles to follow directions or understand what's being said to them
Has difficulty finding words, forming sentences, or expressing their thoughts
Avoids talking or seems frustrated when trying to communicate
Has received school-based speech services, and you're not sure the evaluation was thorough enough

We offer both private evaluations and Independent Educational Evaluations (IEEs) for speech and language concerns. You'll receive a comprehensive assessment along with clear recommendations for therapy, school supports, and home.

Independent Educational Evaluations (IEE)

Deeper understanding for stronger advocacy.

If your child went through a school evaluation and something didn't sit right with you, you're allowed to push back. In fact, you have the legal right to request an Independent Educational Evaluation, paid for by the school district, when you disagree with their findings.

You might be here because:

The school's evaluation didn't seem to capture the full picture of your child
Your child is still struggling despite receiving services or accomodations
You feel like the recommended supports aren't the right fit
You want a second opinion before agreeing to (or against) a plan

Our IEE process gives you an objective, thorough look at how your child learns, where they shine, and where they need more support. After the evaluation, you'll walk away with a clear report and expert recommendations you can bring back to the school team to advocate for what your child truly needs to succeed.

Autism Parent Coaching Groups

Deeper understanding for stronger advocacy.

Parenting a child with Autism is rewarding and hard in equal measure. These groups are designed to give you real, practical strategies you can actually use at home, not just theory.

You can expect to:

Learn behavior support strategies that work in real life
Build skills around communication and helping your child regulate
Feel more confident navigating everyday challenges
Connect with other parents who genuinely get it

Autism Social Skills Groups

When everyday tasks feel harder than they should.

Making friends and navigating social situations doesn't always come naturally, and that's okay. These groups give kids a structured, supportive space to practice exactly those skills.

Through guided activities and real practice, children work on:

Starting and keeping conversations going
Reading social cues and responding to peers
Building confidence in group settings
Forming genuine connections with other kids

A Diagnosis Can Be the Turning Point

Evaluations can result in a formal diagnosis when the findings support one. All diagnoses are made by our qualified specialists and are grounded in a thorough evaluation process, not just a quick checklist.

For many families, that moment is a turning point. It's not a label. It's clarity after years of questions, and a foundation for finally getting the right kind of support.

Common diagnoses that may come out of our evaluations include ADHD, Autism, Anxiety, and learning disabilities like Dyslexia. A diagnosis can open doors to school accommodations, therapeutic services, and resources that simply aren't accessible without documentation. It also gives your child (or you) language to understand themselves, which can be its own kind of relief.
